Price Guide - Part I
These prices are based on my observation of recent auction results - both online and real world. They must not be assumed to be a reliable guide to values as it only needs two collectors to see the same item to have a dramatic effect on auction prices! So please treat this information as "for interest only" and proceed at your own risk.

Metal lattice encases the two glass bulbs, with the syphon at the top. Cane versions also, as shown on the right. "Systeme de Fevre" and "Made in Paris" stamped in top, althought there are English-made versions too (see neck stamp below). These sell for anything from £100-250 depending on condition.

With the inscription "Gazogéne Briet Breveté SGDG Paris", this has cane lattice work and the mechanism is between the two bulbs. These sell for 150 - 250 euros depending on condition. |

Argentine Soda Syphons - 11.5 inches tall, with a double bulb shape, allegedly dating from 1904-1908. The light blue may just be the dark blue in strong sunlight! £90 and £98 for two sold in May/June 2002 on eBay. Inscription reads "VICTORIA 248" and " SODA BUENOS AYRES ANO 1908" (and 1907). However these are often (perhaps even always?) fakes created for tourists and unsuspecting collectors, with a syphon top simply glued on to a bottle shape, so treat with great caution.
