Collectors' Stories
Collectors are often driven by a range of factors:
Curiosity: I like the weird ones. How does that work? Why did they do that?
Greed: I want every example ever! I want to own them all!!
Envy: I want the best collection! I wish I had one of those...
Appreciation: they just look so lovely/cool/clever.
Investment: Maybe they'll be worth more than I paid for them one day...
Whetever your reasons, why not share some of your collecting passion with other enthusiasts. Below is a simple questionnaire - email us your answers, along with a photo or two (or more!) of your collection and/or your favourite pieces, and together we can build up a fascinating insight in to the world of collecting soda syphons. Feel free to ignore any of the questions as you see fit (and we reserve the right to edit for spelling, grammar and brevity), nothing compulsory about the style of course, so if you just want to write it in your own way, that's fine - the questions are just those I think a fellow collector would ask if they popped round for tea and saw your collection.
Just copy and paste the questions in to your email, or in to Word, then fill 'em in
Q1. Who are you and where do you live (first name and town or county is fine)

Q2. When did you buy your first syphon? Where? Why??

Q3. How many syphons do you have now? And what types?

Q4. What is your speciality, if you have one? What do you look for when hunting for syphons?

Q5. Which is your favourite, and what is its story?

Q6. Where do you find most of your syphons?

Q7. Is there a syphon you've always wanted but cannot yet find or afford?

Q8. Do you actually use a syphon for soda water?

Q9. What do your friends and family think of your collection?

Q10. What else would you like to see on this web site? And don't forget the pictures . . . with or without you standing proudly in front of your collection!

And then just send it to me.

Thanks,
Mark.
